          On Saturday, June 10, 2006 05.05 PM, I arrived at Banda Aceh. Aceh’s government settled regulation that said Moslem women have to wear muslimah dress. I had wear a veil since in the aircraft before took off at Soekarno Hatta. Having landed at St.Iskandar Muda airport I was picked up by BRC driver. I enjoyed beautiful scenery a long way to central city of Banda Aceh.  Two lanes and not too wide asphalt road has shaded threes along the sides. Banda Aceh which encircled with a chain of hill is as beautiful as the cities in west java but contrary in the temperature which approximate 31 – 33 ^o C .

          The most significant different between Banda Aceh from other cities is the pleasure place atmosphere. It has neither 21 Cinema nor big shopping mall. The largest supermarket just two story building is like a traditional market in Jakarta.

       A lot of NGO rent luxury houses as operational base camp.  House leasing rates in Banda Aceh rose up as while the increasing of demand. Living cost here more expensive than in Depok J. I found the prices of some foods and beverages more expensive, whereas its tastes were not more delicious.

         I feel the day longer than the nigh, the time goes faster from dusk till dawn. The sun rises around 6 AM, and down around 7 PM. I rather confused between maghrib time and Isya time. Maghrib comes at 07.10 PM and Isya at 08.10 PM .
